Social Programme

As ever we have some brilliant meals and socials lined up and as we’re at HISC we’ll be socialising in the bar and on the beach!

As always, the highlight of the week is sure to be the legendary RS200 fancy dress party and if you hadn’t guessed it from the terrible puns… this year’s theme for buddy groups and party is ‘London Tube Stations’! Whether you want to make a classic underground sign, be an Angel from Angel, or a duffel-coat wearing bear from Paddington, the 272 tube stations are your Oyster (card)!

The programme also features an all-new Bingo night, Karaoke, Masters Meal, Beach Games and the final night Championship Dinner and Prizegiving.

For newbies to the class -  the fun starts on Saturday 20th August - the day before the racing, this year with a Commodore's Reception including a complimentary drink and canapes, and note that the Championship Dinner takes place on Thursday night, so no rushing off after sailing!

Programme details here - check it out!

Buddy Groups

The famous RS200 Buddy Groups are an integral part of the National Championships, designed to help sailors get to know each other and for the better sailors to help those with less experience. Each Buddy Group has 3 pairs - usually 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze boat. We encourage you to make contact with your buddies and arrange to meet. Buddy groups will be berthed together except for HISC boats, which will stay in their usual dinghy park spaces. There is a Buddy Group Prize for the best performing team and Buddy Bingo with a twist on Sunday!

Check out the 2022 fleet allocations and buddy group list here - note that all fleets race together, with one gate start!
