East Lothian Yacht Club are delighted to host the Noble Marine Rooster RS200 Nationals 2023!

*** LATEST NEWS***

But, don't just take our word for it, grab a drink and watch this review of the RS400 Nationals to get a real feel for the venue

"The RS400 National Championships at North Berwick, just to the east of Edinburgh may have involved a longer than normal drive for us Southern softies, but for those that headed north this summer there was no question that it was worth it." Matt Sheahan, Planet Sail

And if you're still not convinced, see why Steve Cockerill and Stewart Robertson from the RS400 fleet, who had their 2022 Nationals at ELYC, think it so worth the trip here.

If you are new to the RS200, or would just like to reminisce, get a feel for the event courtesy of Howe video here and Optical Marine here - there's nothing else that comes close!

Accommodation

North Berwick is a popular seaside town and with the popularity of the staycation, accommodation books up quickly.  The Fringe by the Sea festival will be taking place at the same as the Nationals, so we strongly advise you book your accommodation early. Please be aware that the club does not have parking.  There is on-street parking available, but it is not always easy to find a space - if possible please book accommodation with parking and leave your vehicle there.

Camping, campervans, caravans - the best source for sites is via this link. The club recommend Tanatallon Camping & Caravan Park, which is a 15min beach and glen walk from the club. They have space for tents, tourers and campevans and rent out mobile homes.

Self-catering - there are many flats and cottages right next door to the harbour, have a look here.

B&Bs and guesthouses - many available locally, look here.

Charity Partner

We will be supporting the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, who support young people aged 8-24 in their recovery from cancer by inviting them on sailing or outdoor adventures. Through sailing and adventure, young people...
  • build confidence by making friends with others who have had similar experiences - often for the first time
  • rediscover independence away from home and outside of their 'cancer bubble'
  • begin to realise what thye are capabable of again
  • stop feeling like the 'only one'

A representative from the charity has been invited to speak at the Championship Dinner and we will be running a Grand Raffle, with some great prizes to be won and all proceeeds going to the charity.

To get the ball rolling we invite you to donate £10 with your event entry, there will be a box for this on the entry form.

Refund policy:
If you cancel your entry before the early entry deadline we will refund all fees, minus a £10 admin fee. If you cancel after the early entry deadline, but before online entry closes our standard policy is to return 50% of fees. Where an event entry limit has been reached a refund will only be issued if another boat from the waiting list takes your place. If you cancel after entry closes we will not usually issue a refund.
Please note that where entry is paid directly to the club and for club hosted events a different policy may apply - please contact the club for details.
