Volvo Sailing Speed Challenge
Volvo are the title sponsor of a number of nationwide events - from the grass roots youth oriented RS Feva Grand Prix series up through the pathway of the RS adult class National Championships. Competitors in the class can expect support from Volvo at their events this summer ranging from, coaching appearances from some of the country’s top sailing talent ‘Team Volvo’, the opportunity to ‘win a car’ for events - helping transporting boats and equipment in comfort and safety to exclusive event prizes.
On Monday 5th August, four Team Volvo sailors will put their speed on the water to the test and go head to head in the ‘Volvo Sailing Speed Challenge’, a never-before-seen charity showdown held in the Solent during Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week with it a cheque for £1000 to a charity of their choice.
If you are in Cowes for the day join Paul Goodison, Alex Thomson, Sam Lutman-Pauc and Nick Dempsey at 16.30 on the stage at ‘The Parade Village’ in Cowes for their pre-race banter and racing kicks off at 17.00 from ‘The Green’. You can also watch the race live online at volvocars.co.uk/sailing
Place your vote here http://bit.ly/1ebqYZQ on who you think has what it takes to be the first to cross the Royal Yacht Squadron finish line and if you vote right will be entered into a prize draw to win a four ball at Wentworth Club.
