End of an era for the RS Association

End of an era for the RS Association

Although it is for great reasons, we are sorry to report that Pete Vincent
has decided to stand down as Chairman of the RS Class Association to spend
more time with his new, wonderful family.

Pete has been in the RS world since its inception in 1994. He was involved
in the initial set-up of the Association in the days when there were only 2
fleets, and has acted as guru, coach, chairman, and all-round Good Guy for
many, many years. We know that the Association would be a much lesser place
without his input (not to mention his legendary speeches!)

Luckily, Pete is not leaving us completely.  As well as campaigning his
RS400 with Pete Cruickshank, he will continue to sit on the UK and
International Management Committees as a general oracle.

I am sure that many of you have met Pete over the years, and that you would
all like to join us in thanking him for such a wonderful contribution.   We
will be celebrating in some style at an event later this year - details to
follow.

The process to identify and elect new UK and International Chairmen is about
to begin - more information to follow.

Best regards,
RS Class Association Management Committee
