full afternoon for the RS100's at the RS Games

The 46 boat boat RS100 had a longish day but in the end rewarding day on the water. Launching at around 11.00 they went out into Weymouth Bay in a gentel 8-9 knots from the north. Race 1 was won by defending champion Neal Freeman. The wind that started to get soft and during race 2 there were some real holes but this did not stop Rob Jones who won the race.

The decision was then taken to bring the fleet back into the harbour where the wind had been streadier all afternoon and the RS500's were just finishing their racing. This proved to be inspired for after a short break the third race started at 16.00 in a good solid 14 knots much to the delight of the 100 sailors and particularly Simon Childs who mad eup for a bad first day by winning race 3. It is Simon's son Paul though who had a remarkably rock steady day with results of 7.4.2 who is now leading overall 8 points clear of Huw Powell.
