RS Assocaiton AGM, 2 November 2002

The AGM took place at Draycote Water SC on Saturday 2 November 2002, squashed between Day 1 of the RS Pursuit Race, and the Gul Grand Slam prize-giving. Lesley Bennet chaired the meeting, and presented a report on 2002. Pete Vincent, Martin Wadhams, Nick Peters, Alan Olive and Ian Pickard gave information, and told of 2003 plans for Racing Circuits, Nationals, Communications, Sponsors, Feva, Training, and Rules. Malcolm Clark presented the Treasurer’s report, and the proposed budget for 2003. There was a unanimous vote for a 10% increase in membership fees, a new Youth membership category (details below), and constitution changes as set out in the August 02 Fast News. Anyone who was unable to attend, and would like to see an AGM pack and minutes should contact the RS Office after the end of November. RS Association Membership 2003 Further to a unanimous vote at the AGM, the fees for 2003 have increased slightly. The membership categories, which includes the new Youth Membership category, are as follow: Full Membership £33 Available to owner or any one of joint owners. Associate Membership £20 Available to joint owner (where other owner is full member) or to non owning individuals interested in RS Class Honorary Membership free Open to persons with interest in RS Association, who is voted in by National Committee. Family Membership £44 Open to full family (2 adults and children under age 20 living at same address), owning one boat only. Block Membership £33 x number of boats Considered where an organisation owns several RS boats for use of a number of individuals. Youth Membership £15 Available to owner or any one of joint owners who is aged 19 or below on 1st January 2003.
