RS Pursuit Race 2002, 2/3 November - Report
Another excellent and different event, this year hosted by Draycote Water
SC. Approx. 60 boats over all classes, including the newly joined Fevas
entered the RS Pursuit Race Weekend. Saturday looked unpromising, but
the Race Officer managed to get a 130 minute race in with just a short
delay. The light airs saw the 800s coming out best, after some extremely
close racing. Saturday evening comprised AGM, Gul Grand Slam Circuit
prize-giving, fireworks and party.
Saturday's festivities did for some sailors, but those with more stamina
made it onto the water in F3-4 on Sunday for an 80 minute Pursuit Race.
Great spectator sport for both days; extremely close racing.
