RS200/400 Fat Face Racing Circuit event, Abersoch
This coming weekend (30 April/1 May) sees the RS400 Fat Face Racing
Circuit visit the excellent North Wales venue of Abersoch. The weekend
is being shared with the RS200 fleet, and promises to be one of the best
events of the season (both on and off the water). The popular venue will
be hosting the 2005 RS400 Nationals at the end of August, and many crews
are expected to make the journey to help with their preparations.
SCYC are experienced at running major events and their clubhouse provides
an excellent view of the bay and beach (check the webcams on their web
site).
Racing is scheduled to take place over Saturday and Sunday, with three
races each day. The first start on Saturday is planned for 1pm, to allow
ample travel time to Abersoch.
A party is planned for Saturday night; hopefully SCYC has enough
sherry/bar staff to cope.
There have been some welcome new faces attending the previous Fat Face
events this season. No matter what your ability is, close racing is
guaranteed. For the inexperienced, the Fat Face events are a great way
to learn from the regulars.
Don’t miss out on what promises to be a great event!
