RS Racing Southern Hemisphere Championships, 2008 - Outcome of vote
The RS Association were considering a RS Southern Hemisphere Championship
in Australia in February 2008. In order to find out the interest in
such an event we held a vote in December 2005. Voting forms were sent
to RS200, 400, 600, 700 & 800 members, as those fleets who had attended
Eurocup events in the past.
Many thanks to those who returned their votes. 11% of members
returned their votes.
Of these replies - 15% were very interested, 22% were interested, 29%
were quite interested, and 39% were not interested in the event.
The outcome of the vote was discussed at the Events Committee meeting,
and it was decided that there was not enough interest to go forward with
this event at this time.
