Gul RS Sprint Champs, 2007
All RS200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800 & Vareo sailors,
News about the exciting new Sprint Champs.
The Sprint Champs will be held at Rutland SC on 7 & 8 April, that's
Easter Saturday & Sunday. When first advertised, we were making this a
3-day event - please note this is not now possible, and there will not be
sailing on the Monday.
The Sprint Champs are a great new idea for the RS Boats. It was
successfully trialled last November, an event that was greatly enjoyed by
all. It is a series of short races (approx. 15-20 minutes), in small
starts (approx. 8-14 boats) in separate fleets. Really fast, fun, and
great for spectating as well as competing.
The briefing is at 1100hrs on the Saturday with the first start at
1200hrs. Sunday's first start is 1030hrs. Rutland will be providing
their normal high level of catering, and there will be a big party in the
clubhouse on Saturday night. There is lots of accommodation at Rutland
SC itself (01780 720292 / rutlandsc.co.uk) or in surrounding villages.
Please note that this event is pre-entry only, by 31st March. Entry
forms and NoR are available on the website -
http://www.rs-association.com/docs/2007%20Sprints_NoR.doc

or via the RS Office. It should also be noted that there is a minimum
entry of 10 boats in each class, so get promoting the event through your
own class now.
