RS GAMES ANNOUNCE OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHY PARTNER

The final countdown to the RS Games at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy is under way.  When the gun goes for the start of the RS800 nationals on Monday 15 August, it will also mark the start of two weeks of intense RS sailing and socialising, featuring no fewer than nine World, European or UK National championships for RS classes.

While the sailors prepare their boats, Fotoboat photographers Mike Rice, Steve Bell, Tom Gruitt and Will Carden are preparing to offer some of the most comprehensive photographic coverage ever delivered by Fotoboat.  There will be at least one Fotoboat photographer on the water every day of the Games, shooting both still photographs and video.  Look out for daily shows of photos and video clips on the WPNSA big screens.

As well as the normal on-line service, Fotoboat will also be offering on-site printing for those who can’t wait until they get home to have their souvenirs.  Will Carden will be setting up his printing booth in the WPNSA cafeteria on 19, 21 and 26 August offering competitors the chance to view pictures and buy high-quality prints on the spot.

Fotoboat have been the RS Association’s official championship photographers for the past five years, covering the nationals and inland championships of most of the RS classes during that time.  Fotoboat founder Mike Rice declared “this will be our biggest event ever and our team of experienced photographers will be working hard to ensure everyone has a lasting souvenir of racing at the 2012 Olympic venue”.  Heather Chipperfield of the RS Association said “It will be great to have Fotoboat working with us at this exciting and important event.”

You can see all the details of the Games on the RS Association website at www.rs-association.com.  Photos from the event will be posted to www.fotoboat.com daily during the Games.
