The highly anticipated Scottish Winter Try Hard Series, designed for the hardiest of sailors, kicked off this year on December 2nd and 3rd at ELYC, with an air temperature of approximately 2 degrees.
The second event, held on January 6th and 7th, maintained the momentum.
Post-racing, spirits were high, with participant Fi expressing, "Wow, I can't believe I've enjoyed two days of winter sailing – it's been great!" and newcomer Hamish Taylor, sailing a borrowed boat, ecstatically, exclaiming, "I just need to buy a boat now! That was some of THE-BEST-SAILING I've done in my life!"
Read the full report and see the race results here, thanks to Brendadn Lynch, who we'd also like to thank for the coaching.
We are planning a 3rd event sometime in March, to keep in the loop follow the RS200 Scotland tour on facebook and we hope to see you on the water soon!
