Scotland 1st, Wales 2nd, England 3rd in RS200 Spring Champs!

This year’s RS200 Rooster Championship Tour Spring Championships took place at Ullswater Yacht Club as part of the larger Daffodil regatta event. 12 RS200s took to the water having their own start and a fantastic windward / leeward course.

Brendan Lynch & Ellen Clark from ELYC, Scotland took the event win with a race to spare. Close racing meant positions 2nd to 4th went down to the last race, with Daniel Whiteley and Olivia Stanley from Port Dinorwic/Trearddur Bay, Wales finishing 2nd, Chris and Evie Pickles, Bassenthwaite, England 3rd and Mark and Jess Oakey, Cardiff Bay in 4th.

Full results, report thanks to Chris Pickles and Tim Olin's photo gallery here

Masters and Grandmasters Champs, plus West Country Boat Repairs SW Ugly Tour, Bowmoor, 28 June

This year we have opted for a one-day summer Masters event at a warm, friendly, grass-roots club, with easy launching, a very short sail to the start, good facilities ashore and a smaller area of water for good tactical racing, rather than any long slogs upwind! The Masters will race with the main fleet, with results extracted for the title of RS200 Master Champion, so all participants will also qualify for the West Country Boat Repairs SW Ugly Tour event.

The Masters Category is open to all RS200 helms aged 45 or over, crewed by sailors of any age.

The Grandmasters Category is open to all RS200 helms aged 60 or over, crewed by sailors of any age.
