Well done to everyone who competed at the RS200 Cornish Championship, the opening event of the West Country Boat Repairs SW Ugly Tour!
A great start to the series with five competitive races sailed in a strong Restronguet fleet and visitors from across the region.
Congratulations to Chris Webber & Nicki Webber (Paignton SC) on taking the overall win, showing excellent consistency across the series to secure victory with just 6 points net. Edward Simpson & John Woodworth / Mason Woodworth (Restronguet SC) finished a strong second, just two points behind after a very solid set of results, including a race win. Huw & Alex Beverley-Jones (Restronguet SC) completed the podium in third after a competitive series that included a race win in Race 4.
Special mention also goes to the home fleet from Restronguet SC, who filled much of the top ten, alongside visiting teams from Hooe Point, Royal Southern YC, Carsington SC and Chew Valley Lake SC.
A fantastic opening event for the SW Ugly Tour, setting the tone for what promises to be a brilliant series ahead!
