Gul RS200 Inland Championships at Chew Valley Lake Sailing Club 18-19 Oct

 
Incorporating The RS200 Youth Championship
 

2 days of racing on great water, with an excellent race team, easy launching and fleet split into flights to maximise race quality and add an extra dimension to the competition, a system which worked well last year.

 
The RS200 Youth Championship, for helms and crews both aged under 22 on 18th October 2014, will be held within the event.  Youth entrants will qualify for both the Inlands and the Youth Championships.
 
The Racing
 
First race on Saturday will be at 12:00
First race on Sunday will be at 10:30
It is intended to run 6 races in total, 3 back-to-back on each day.

Saturday evening social - A Taste of Somerset
 
 
 
Cider tasting and Somerset Supper, to be held at The Black Dog Saloon, Cheddar
A tutored tasting of 5 ciders (wine glass size), plus a deluxe hot dog topped with Somerset pulled pork and authentic cheddar cheese, served with chips, onion rings and coleslaw. Beer/soft drink option for non-cider lovers (is there such a thing?). Ticket price £10.
 
The Black Dog Saloon is a country and Western come Somerset themed bar, so feel free to don your checked shirt and cowboy hats/boots to add a bit of Somerset style!
 
Please note that Cheddar is a 25min drive from Chew, so best to book your accommodation in Cheddar, where there's a selection of camp sites, a youth hostel and numerous B&Bs.

Cheddar also has the caves, the gorge and lovely scenery, so why not bring the family?
 
Entry
 
Online entry and Taste of Somerset ticket booking is now open (see tab to the left) and becasue of the complex flight system, will close at 23:59hrs Thurs 16th Oct, by which time you must have paid your entry fee. Entry and payment after this time will need to be made at registration on and will be subject to a late entry fee of £10. Social tickets MAY be on sale at registration, but we cannot guarantee this as the price has been negotiated with the venue based on advance purchase, so please do book in advance.
Refund policy:
If you cancel your entry before the early entry deadline we will refund all fees, minus a £15 admin fee. If you cancel after the early entry deadline, but before online entry closes our standard policy is to return 50% of fees. Where an event entry limit has been reached a refund will only be issued if another boat from the waiting list takes your place. If you cancel after entry closes we will not usually issue a refund.
